Greenville County Bird Club members have access to our email distribution, where club trip plans, bird sightings, trip reports, and other items are discussed. This distribution is available only to members. See our Membership Page to join the club.
Near the end of 2018, the club moved to the Groups.io platform for email distribution. Existing club members can read below for information regarding message delivery options, archive access, and account maintenance. If you have questions or problems with the email distribution, contact Jeff Click (jclick@gcbirdclub.org).
Groups.io offers the following message delivery options:
* Viewing or posting messages online requires signing up for a Groups.io account. Viewing or posting via email does not require an account.
To post to the group, simply send a message to gcbirdclub@groups.io. Only members can post to the group.
To subscribe an email address, send an email to gcbirdclub+subscribe@groups.io. Club members and their family members may use multiple email addresses, if preferred.
To unsubscribe an email address, send an email to gcbirdclub+unsubscribe@groups.io.
To receive plain digests instead of individual messages, send an email to gcbirdclub+digest@groups.io.
To receive full-featured digests instead of individual messages, send an email to gcbirdclub+fulldigest@groups.io.
To receive a daily summary instead of individual messages, send an email to gcbirdclub+summary@groups.io.
To receive only special messages, send an email to gcbirdclub+special@groups.io.
To receive individual messages instead of digests or a summary, send an email to gcbirdclub+single@groups.io.
To stop receiving messages via email (you may still read messages on the Web), send an email to gcbirdclub+nomail@groups.io.
Members may access messages and shared photos on the website in addition to (or instead of) using your email software. To access the archives, you will need to set up an account with groups.io. To view archived messages, photos, etc., go to https://groups.io/g/gcbirdclub and log in. Note that you can (as described above) elect to receive no messages via email and still retain the ability to view messages on the groups.io website, if you prefer.
